Our Story:
We are a family who immigrated to Canada in 2006, full of hope for a better future. Just six months after settling in, our second son was born in Vancouver. Like any parents, we dreamed of a bright and successful life for him.
At the age of three, our son was diagnosed with autism. That moment changed the course of our lives. The diagnosis brought emotional shock, confusion, and a deep sense of isolation. As a family, we fell into depression, struggling to cope with a new and overwhelming reality.
The challenges were constant — from speech delays and social barriers to the lack of accessible support systems. The emotional and financial burden became increasingly heavy. Every day was a test of strength, but our love for our son gave us purpose.
We are truly grateful for the support we received from both the British Columbia provincial government and the Government of Canada. Their assistance played a vital role in helping our son grow toward independence, and gave our family the strength to survive through extremely difficult times. Without this support, we may not have been able to continue.
Their help allowed us not only to care for our son, but also to keep moving forward on our journey — and gave me the chance to continue working on this project, even when all odds seemed against us.
Rather than give in to despair, I turned to what I knew best — technology. I asked myself a simple question: How can I help my son learn in a way that truly works for him?
With my background in IT, I began developing a unique approach called BYPASS — a structured method designed to help autistic children overcome learning barriers. The goal of BYPASS is to “bypass” traditional limitations and reprogram how children on the spectrum process information.
This approach involves building a comprehensive database of approximately 50,000 key vocabulary terms — including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and common expressions — delivered in a specific, repetitive, and visual sequence. The method is designed to support how autistic individuals naturally absorb patterns, helping them build language and connection.
I believe that with the right tools, we can help children like my son communicate, learn, and thrive. Not by forcing them to conform to traditional systems, but by meeting them where they are — and guiding them forward in a way they understand.
The BYPASS method became the foundation of a larger mission: to one day create a learning center built around this approach, giving autistic children the opportunity they deserve.
